Steve Largent graduated from Putnam City High School before becoming one of the NFL’s all-time great wide receivers with the Seattle Seahawks. He retired as the league’s all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, was named to the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team and the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995. After football, he represented Oklahoma’s 1st District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002, giving him a rare dual legacy in both professional sports and national politics.
